Pinpoint homes
Homefinder is about renting and buying homes in the city of Manchester (that’s the area covered by Manchester City Council).
But it's not the only way to look for homes from councils, housing associations or council-approved private landlords.
The Pinpoint service opens up lots more housing choice . . .
Homes in north Manchester - especially for workers
One of the city's biggest housing providers, Northwards Housing, advertises one or two homes a week on Pinpoint. You won't find these homes anywhere else.
Many are reserved for working households - where someone works for at least 16 hours a week and has worked for nine of the last twelve months.
Homes across Greater Manchester
Pinpoint has homes to rent from councils, housing associations and housing trusts across Greater Manchester. From Bury to Bolton, Trafford to Tameside, and all points north, south, east and west.
Many of these homes are close to the Manchester border. It’s always worth a look - whether you’d consider a home away from the city, or want to stay close by.
Bidding for a Pinpoint home
You must be registered for rehousing with one of the councils or housing associations that advertise on Pinpoint. If you’re registered with Manchester City Council or Northwards Housing, you’re ready to go! No need to register again.
Pinpoint puts you into one of three priority bands (high, medium, and low) – based on the information on your rehousing registration. Homes go to people in the highest band first.
