Woodhouse Park is about nine miles south of the city centre. It's
east of the M56 motorway, close to Manchester airport.

Living in Woodhouse Park
Woodhouse Park is very close to Wythenshawe civic shopping centre, with
its food hall and market. The centre also includes the Wythenshawe Forum - a
modern, accessible building at the heart of community life. State-of-the-art
indoor leisure facilities include a swimming pool, gym, sports hall and
fitness centre. There's a health centre, children's nursery, and job centre
too.
There are regular buses to the city centre; and it's walking distance
from homes in the south of Woodhouse Park to the job opportunities at the
rapidly-developing airport. There are 250 companies based there and, as it
expands, the airport offers other employment in construction and hotels.
The planned extension to the Metrolink tram system would bring speedy
trams to the city centre, the airport and other areas.
There is open farmland and country walks towards the historic Cheshire
village of Styal.
