Sainbury's on Wilmslow Road, while others are nearer the Asda superstore in
Hulme.
Wilmslow Road (less than a mile from the centre of Fallowfield) is famous
for its busy restaurants, shops and cafes. Princess Road has been radically
improved, with a range of small local shops.
More than 400 new homes - from large family houses to flats - are being
built on the site of the former Manchester City stadium, Maine Road, to
improve housing quality and choice, and attract new people to the area.
There are plans for new facilities, including a modern health centre, there
too.
There are regular buses along Princess Road to the city and out to the
airport. The vibrant city centre, with its employment, leisure and
entertainment facilities is just a few minutes journey. Buses along
Wilbraham Road run to nearby Chorlton, while Withington village, with more
