Area guide: Brunswick (Chorlton-on-Medlock)
Brunswick starts at the Mancunian Way, just a few hundred
yards south of the city centre. It lies between Upper Brook Street,
Plymouth Grove and Ardwick Green. Stockport Road goes through the area,
giving good access to south Manchester. See rehousing

Living in Brunswick
A
multi-million pound programme will soon make Brunswick a great place
to live, work and visit - with big improvements to council housing, new
homes for rent and sale, modern facilities and a pleasant environment.
Brunswick is a ten minute walk from Manchester's vibrant city centre,
with its employment, leisure and entertainment facilities. There are
some local shops and a health centre on Brunswick Street, and more good
shopping within easy reach - it's about a mile and a half to the large
Asda Supermarket and other shops at Longsight district centre.
There are frequent buses along Stockport Road into the heart of
Manchester, and out to Stockport and Cheshire. The nearby universities
and hospitals are major employers.
