Maps of rehousing areas
Manchester is divided into more than 60 rehousing areas. Most applicants have a rehousing
priority under the Manchester City Council rules that applies to all these areas. This means you
can go for any home that uses these rules in any area.
Rehousing cluster
But applicants who have extra priority because they have a ‘community contribution’ award have a Council priority that applies to homes in a specific area only.
This is called a ‘rehousing cluster’ – it covers the rehousing area where you make this contribution and neighbouring rehousing areas.
The letter telling you which rehousing band you are in tells you whether your band applies to all rehousing areas; or to a cluster only:
