Priority of homes
Homes advertised on Homefinder are marked either '1st' or 'P'.
1st = FIRST-COME-FIRST-SERVED HOMES
We can advertise these homes on Homefinder at any time. There isn’t a deadline for bidding for a home like this. It usually goes to the first eligible person who bids for it, rather than to the person with the highest priority. But just because a home is still on the website, it doesn’t mean no-one has bid for it yet. It is only removed when it has been accepted by a bidder.
P = PRIORITY HOMES (P)
A new batch of Priority homes is put on Homefinder every Thursday morning. They stay on for one week. You must bid for one of these homes by 5pm on Wednesday. The landlord of the home uses the relevant rehousing rules to decide which bidder is offered the home first.
Rehousing rules
